Liability & Safety Notes – Clare Timber Products
1. Scope
This Liability & Safety Disclaimer applies to all products and services supplied by Clare Timber Products. By purchasing, accepting delivery of, or using our products, you agree to the terms below.
2. Inherent Risks
Firewood and other solid fuels carry inherent risks, including (not limited to):

Sparks, embers, and smoke

High temperatures and burn risks

Accidental fires if used improperly

Possible presence of insects or natural debris
Clare Timber Products accepts no responsibility for injury, damage, or loss arising from the storage, handling, or use of our products.
3. Safe Use Guidelines
You are solely responsible for the safe and lawful use of our products. We recommend:

Burn wood only in appropriate, well-maintained appliances

Keep a safe clearance from flammable materials

Never leave fires unattended
-
Ensure adequate ventilation and fit/maintain a carbon monoxide (CO) alarm

Comply with all local fire-safety regulations and appliance manufacturer instructions
4. Storage Risks
Store wood dry and off the ground in a well-ventilated, weather-protected area, away from ignition sources. We are not liable for mould, degradation, pest issues, or other damage caused by improper storage.
5. Delivery Safety
Deliveries are made to the nearest safe, accessible point as determined by our driver or contracted carrier. We are not responsible for property damage where the customer requests or authorises access that is narrow, uneven, unstable, or otherwise unsafe.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Our liability is limited to the price paid for the goods

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses or damages

Risk passes to you upon delivery
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits liability where it cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Clare Timber Products, its employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the use or misuse of our products.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Republic of Ireland.
